When a child experiences the death of a loved one, their world becomes a frustrating and confusing place. Unfortunately, these children actually suffer from two tragedies, the first being the tragic death of someone they love, and the second, a community that doesn't adequately understand or support their needs. Without support, these children are at great risk of developing detrimental behavioral and emotional problems such as anxiety, substance abuse, poor academic performance, aggression, fear of death, low self-confidence, social isolation, depression, self harm and even suicide.
Since 2005, Tomorrow’s Rainbow has become the cornerstone for bereaved youth in our community. By combining facilitated peer support groups with miniature horse interactions and therapeutic play, children are guided on their own personal grief journey in a way that is uniquely meaningful to them. Although each child’s story is different, the message remains the same...Tomorrow’s Rainbow is a safe place where grieving children feel, often for the first time, understood.
Tomorrow’s Rainbow is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation registered in the state of Florida. Your sponsorship of a grieving child is a long lasting investment of hope and healing.
Together, we can fulfill our mission of “Guiding Children Back to Joy.” Thank you for your support!
